Independent Contractor Status (Required Notice)

All individuals displaying the GoServe Contractor Badge are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of GoServe, LLC. They operate their own service business and have been contracted by GoServe, LLC solely to perform process service assignments.

Contractors do not speak on behalf of GoServe, LLC, cannot make commitments for the company, and are responsible for their own conduct, tools, transportation, and compliance with state and local laws.

Consumer Rights & Expectations

You have the right to:

• Know who is serving you — Contractors must identify themselves truthfully and present the GoServe Contractor Badge upon request.
• Respectful, professional treatment — Contractors must conduct themselves safely, lawfully, and without harassment or intimidation.
• Accurate information — Contractors may confirm the nature of the documents being delivered, but cannot provide legal advice or interpret the documents.
• A proper record of service — You may request verification of the service attempt through goServe’s support team.

If you believe a contractor acted improperly, you may report the incident to GoServe, LLC for review. Misconduct by a contractor may result in removal from the goServe network.

Process Server Rights & Responsibilities

Contractors performing service of process have the right to:

• Approach a residence or business for lawful service attempts
• Document service attempts as required by state law
• Maintain personal safety and withdraw from any unsafe situation

Contractors are responsible for:

• Following all applicable laws, including C.R.S. § 13‑1‑125 and C.R.C.P. Rule 4
• Truthful, complete, and timely documentation of service attempts
• Maintaining professional conduct at all times
• Avoiding any statement or behavior that could imply they are employees or agents of GoServe, LLC

GoServe, LLC’s Role

GoServe, LLC is a technology and coordination platform that connects independent contractors with service assignments. GoServe, LLC:

• Does not supervise contractors in the field
• Does not control contractor schedules, methods, or routes
• Does not guarantee contractor availability
• Provides tools, training materials, and workflow guidance for contractor use

Contractors remain fully independent and responsible for their own business operations.
